“…GRAPHY” (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan) is a community of amateur photographers experimenting with analogue photography. Having no particular esthetic, neglecting profit interests each member of the group satisfies his or her psychological needs. A form and an inner content of an end photo product depend exclusively on an Artist’s preference.

The group can be called non-conceptual as well as non-orthodox though the group members themselves reject all ascribed labels and features. Rejection of all celebrated values, canons, and restrictions is the only strategy of theirs if anything in their case can be talked of as strategy at all. Vanguard, marginal and unreasonable ways of expression is also rejected by group members.

Experimenting is evident in photo as art and as craft. Manual reeling, development of a film in a bathroom, objective free photography – all of this is a part of group’s policy. “…GRAPHY” is a community, open for fresh proposals and artistic revelations.

Its experience allows “…GRAPHY” community position itself as a fundament for further development of new photo art in the region.
